Tyler Roys - Candidate for President

I grew up watching Women’s College Basketball, becoming an avid Penn State Women’s fan once I started college here at Penn State. I am not just an avid Penn State Women’s fan, but an avid fan of Women’s Basketball. I have attended multiple Penn State Women’s Basketball games over the past 9 years while living in State College. When I can’t get to the game and they are on TV, I am watching the Lady Lions and cheering for them. I also follow several Penn State Women’s Basketball beat writers on Twitter, allowing me to keep up to-date on games that are not on TV and during away games. My friends know my passion for Penn State Women’s Basketball and Women’s Basketball in general, which leads to many discussions over the basketball season generating great spirit for Penn State athletics. I am currently a forecaster at Accuweather, a volunteer/leader with the Penns Valley 4-H, and volunteer with the Catholic Campus Ministry.

Rose Kupchinsky – Candidate for 1st Vice President

I have been a season ticket holder since moving to State College approximately 9 years ago. I have been a member of the Lady Lion Cager Club board for 5 years and secretary for the past 3 years. I am one of the committee members for the Cager Club Welcome Back Picnic and chairman of the Annual Lady Lion Banquet. I have a worker type personality and enjoy doing jobs for the club that promote the team and the players. It is enjoyable watching the player grow professionally and personally and graduate as fine young ladies. I also am a docent at the Penn State All Sports Museum and volunteer as a Mass Coordinator and Eucharistic Minister for the Catholic Campus Ministries.

Annie Davis – Candidate for 2nd Vice President

I first started watching Lady Lion Basketball in the early 80's when my sister was a student at PSU. I was elected to the board in the mid 90's and have been president, 1st vice president, and 2nd vice president. I have chaired the banquet, bus, picnic and merchandise committees. Before moving to State College to take a job with Federal Express, I was employed in a family business. I would appreciate your vote for 2nd vice president.

Larry Thorwart – Candidate for Treasurer

Larry is a 1979 graduate of PSU in Chemical Engineering. He is a retired executive from Morgan Advanced Materials. His wife, Mary, and their three adult sons are all graduates of PSU, and they are all fans of Nittany Lion sports. Larry was on the Cager Club board since 2010-2011 and became Treasurer in 2013.

Mary Bankes - Candidate for Secretary

I graduated from PSU in 1973 in Health and PE. I made the Lady Lion’s basketball team in 1970 and 73. Once I graduated, I taught for seven years but when my husband’s job took us to Tennessee, I was not able to find a teaching job and had to retool myself. I went to a local university for a degree in Math and Computer Science. When we returned to the Philadelphia area, I found a job directing IT services for a software development firm and remained there for 28 years. My husband, Bill, and I relocated to Liberty Hill in Boalsburg in 2014. We immediately bought season tickets to Women’s and Men’s Basketball. Bill already had Football tickets, and we added Men’s Ice Hockey and Wrestling. We also follow both volleyball teams and will fit attending any PSU sport that we can into our schedule. Living in State College has many benefits, and we enjoy a wonderful quality of life here.

Bill Bankes - Candidate for Board of Directors

Mary and I moved here in 2014 and became active supporters of the women’s basketball team. We are season ticket holders, have endowed a women’s basketball scholarship and have been active participants in Lady Lions Cager Club events. We support athletics overall and also have season tickets for men’s basketball, football, wrestling and men’s ice hockey. In addition, we are lifetime members of the Penn State Alumni Association and are members of the Centre County Chapter Penn State Alumni Association. I view running for the board as another way of further supporting the women’s basketball team.

Sue Lingenfelter - Candidate for Board of Directors

As a Microbiology (Medical Technology) graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, I have enjoyed over 25 years working at the university in cancer research, neuroscience and related fields. My husband, as well as our 2 sons and their wives, are all Penn Staters (Penn State Proud). My husband and I have been fortunate to be able to attend nearly every Lady Lion game since the 1980-81 season; we have been season ticket holders for 24 years – since the opening of the Bryce Jordan Center in 1995. I’ve enjoyed volunteering and participating in various Cager Club activities. It has been a pleasure to serve as Membership Chair on the Board of Directors for the Lady Lion Cager Club and, as a big fan of our Lady Lions, I hope to serve another term.

Penny Smith - Candidate for Board of Directors

I have been a supporter and fan of Lady Lion basketball for almost 30 years. Following the Lady Lions has given me the opportunity to meet many great young ladies and watch them grow into successful young women. I have been very active with the club, helping with many events and sharing my Lady Lion Cager Club history with the board members. I have followed the team extensively and love to cheer on our ladies at away games. Having retired after 33 years of working in Penn State’s Registrar’s Office, I enjoy aqua size, bowling, reading and traveling to New York City for theatre shows.
